The highlight of this hike is the Gargoyle Valley! A dramatic, high-alpine basin known for its otherworldly landscape filled with odd eroded rock pinnacles, scree slopes and boulder fields that resemble stone gargoyles.

We will hike clockwise through Cory Pass and finish the loop out Edith Pass. Expect a mild creek crossing (we can rock hop), a steep climb, moderate scrambling, loose scree, narrow ledges, boulder field and finish off with a path through a lush forest.

Distance: ~14 km
Elevation gain: ~1,000 m
Number of hikers: 6-8

If you sign up, but cannot attend, please remove your name from the list by 10am Friday. If you cancel anytime after 10:00am Friday or don’t show up (without contacting me) you will be marked as a “no show”. This is visible to other organizers and may affect your chances of attending other hikes.
