Loop Hike from the Haglhütte to the Satteljoch

We're returning to the Karwendel Nature Park for another hike this year. Unlike our summer hike to Gamsjoch, this time of year offers the chance to experience colorful autumn foliage in the mountains. It's a moderately difficult hike that most people should be able to manage. Hike details: Distance: ~14 km Duration: ~5.30 hours, plus additional time for Plumsjochhütte Ascent: 830m Descent: 830m Highest point: ~1900m Lowest point: ~1080m Waypoints: Haglhütte (Bus stop) → Satteljoch Pass→ Plumsjoch Hut → Haglhütte (Bus stop) Maps and references: Komoot: Satteljoch and Plumsjoch Hut Loop Outdooractive: Rundtour auf das Satteljoch Public transportation (Deutschland ticket is valid): 7:02 Take RB56 from München Hbf to Lenggries. 8:18 Take Bus 369 from Lenggries to Hinterriß Haglhütte 9:11 Arrive at Haglhütte (Return) We will aim to catch the 16:32 bus. If we miss that, the next options are: 17:37 18:42 (last bus) Official meeting point We meet at the Hinterriß Haglhütte bus stop around 9:15am. The bus stop is located right at the parking lot. What to bring (recommended): 2+ Liter water, preferably with electrolytes to prevent cramping Cash. The hut does not accept credit cards. ID in case of cross-border control Snacks Layered clothing Hiking boots or shoes (No sneakers, please!)
