Napoleon's time in Egypt was considered "life changing" for him. Napoleon admired the grandeur of Egypt’s monuments, especially the pyramids, and saw parallels between his own rise and that of historical conquerors like Alexander the Great and Julius Caesar.
For this event, we are focusing on the book by J. Christopher Herold titled "Bonaparte in Egypt". If you have not read the book, no problem! I will bring a copy and we will discuss its fascinating material over food and drinks. All are welcome!
