Carl Jung, Archetypes and the Collective Unconscious
What do our dreams, ancient mythology and fairytales share in common?
For this 4th session, we’ll dive into archetypal psychology and discover how ancient symbols and universal patterns continue to shape our experience of the world.
Drawing from the work of several major figures of psychoanalysis like Carl Jung, Marie-Louise Von franz, Hillman and Edinger,…we’ll explore some of the most intriguing figures of the unconscious, from the Shadow to the concept of Anima and Animus.
How do these mysterious themes emerge in our dreams, stories and everyday lives? And what might they reveal about both the individual and collective psyché?
As usual, through interactive games and open discussions, we’ll unpack these questions together over a drink in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.

"That's why it is so important to be conscious of the life of the archetypes, because if we are not conscious of the autonomous life of the archetypes in the psyche, then they are seemingly nonexistent and, in fact, even destructive. That is why in a society where the archetypes are no longer honored in any way, believed in or taken care of consciously, you have surrogates, morbid political ideas, ‘isms’ of all kinds, or drugs. You have all the destructive powers overtaking people, because the gods cannot move without humans. They are paralyzed if we don't carry them."
