Faces of Poverty X Halloween Fundraiser

It is that time of the year for one more Halloween fundraiser! The infusion of Meetup people with our friends and family has made for a wonderful mix over the years, and our new home can comfortably handle 100 people. Each year two non-profits are chosen, one international and one local- Far- Prosper Global formerly Mercy Corps meets urgent needs when global natural disaster strikes, and then work alongside communities for recovery and rebuilding with innovative solutions. Homepage | Prosper Global Near – DuPage PADS has a mission to end homelessness in DuPage County. They’re a beacon of hope for those with little to no support while experiencing homelessness. The solution to end homelessness | DuPage Pads The required minimum donation is $20 a person. Cash or checks made out to Edward Allard will be split between the non-profits. One can also write a check directly to either organization. 100 % of the proceeds will go to the two non-profits. The many Halloween decorations I have accumulated over the years will be featured. We will provide deli sandwiches, salads, savory snacks, desserts, soda, water and ice. There will be a fire pit in the large backyard, weather permitting. BYOB- Please bring whatever alcohol you are drinking. Costumes are required, which makes it more magical for everyone, Minimal and maximum effort costumes are all welcome! No heels please! Jason V the DJ will be playing dance music 8:30 to 11:30 from a selected list, while my eclectic mix of cocktail and dance music will begin and end the evening. There is lots of street parking near our home. This will be posted on two meetup group sites. We look forward to seeing you on the eve of Halloween!
