🎃 Halloween Night — Shadow Work, Dark Eros and Courting the Wild Twin
A night to reflect on the darker, unfamiliar and often neglected parts of personality.
Now that the darker days are approaching, it seems a fitting time to introduce the concept of ‘the Shadow’.
In Jungian psychology, the Shadow encompasses those aspects of the personality we struggle to recognize as our own. Namely, the qualities, desires, fears or impulses that don’t quite ‘fit’ the image we have of ourselves.
But the Shadow is not merely a hiding place for everything unpleasant or shameful. It also conceals untapped potential and parts of ourselves waiting to be reclaimed.
Why do certain people get under our skin? What if the qualities we consider our greatest weaknesses are hiding some of our greatest strengths ?
And what might we discover if we gave those hidden parts of ourselves a little more attention ?
Drawing inspiration from the books of Thomas Moore ‘Dark Eros’ and Martin Shaw’s ‘Courting the Wild Twin’, we’ll spend the evening exploring these questions through a few interactive exercises and plenty of open discussion.

If you go to thinking take your heart with you.
If you go to love, take your head with you.
Love is empty without thinking,
thinking hollow without love.
