Belonging in Relationship with the World 🌿
Morning Walk & Talk — Connect, Explore, and Create Our Own Path

Have you ever wondered what it means to feel a sense of belonging in Brisbane?

Living in a new city can bring exciting experiences and new opportunities, but it can also take time to feel truly connected to the place and the people around us.

Join us for a relaxed morning walk where we’ll explore what belonging means to us — in Brisbane, in our local community, and in our relationships with the world around us.

🌱 Connect with others in nature
Let’s enjoy the fresh morning air, have meaningful conversations, and start the day feeling positive and refreshed.

This is a welcoming, judgment-free space where you can show up as you are. You don’t need perfect English or anything special to share. There’s no pressure to keep a conversation going or to have all the answers. Just come with an open mind and enjoy connecting with others at your own pace. Optional prompts will be provided.

🚶 Where we go is up to all of us
We have a meeting point, but no fixed destination. :O
Our path will unfold as we go, shaped by the people who show up, the ideas we share, and the things we discover along the way. Let’s explore together and create our own path.

🍃 Different discoveries, one shared creation
As we walk, take a moment to notice the little things around you — a beautiful shape, an interesting texture, a fallen leaf, or something that inspires you.

At the end of our walk, we’ll bring our individual discoveries and inspirations together to create a collaborative nature mandala.

Each person brings something different, just as we all have our own personalities, backgrounds, and experiences. When we bring these differences together, we can create something beautiful as a group.

Our circle represents connection and belonging. As more people join, the circle may grow — but whether it is big or small, it is meaningful because each person contributes something unique.

Through this simple, creative activity, we’ll have a chance to reflect on what we value, what inspires us, and what it means to feel connected to others.

🌏 Two hosts, different cultural perspectives
Your hosts are Courtney from the United States and Rana from Japan.
Coming from different cultural backgrounds, we each bring our own perspectives and experiences. We hope this gathering will be an opportunity to learn from one another, discover new perspectives, and celebrate the connections we can create across cultures.

Let’s walk, talk, explore, and create something together — while discovering what belonging can look and feel like for each of us.

This event is for you if you:

Want to make new friends and build connections in Brisbane
Enjoy meeting people from different cultural backgrounds
Would love to spend a refreshing morning in nature
Are curious about belonging, community, and human connection
Enjoy creative, interactive experiences beyond simply having a conversation

No special skills or preparation are needed. Just bring your curiosity and an open mind!
