GITUP - SIGHIGNOLA, BALCONE D'ITALIA (CO)

One of the most beautiful places in Italy, voted a “Place of the Heart” by FAI (the Italian National Trust), is the jewel of the Intelvi Valley.
On clear days, from Sighignola you can enjoy a spectacular panorama, especially looking west, where the view stretches from nearby Lake Ceresio all the way to the Alps. The highest peak visible is Monte Rosa, while the Matterhorn can also be glimpsed.
This natural area on the border with Switzerland is known as the “Balcony of Italy” thanks to the breathtaking views it offers.
A splendid panoramic viewpoint, a natural terrace literally nestled among the rocks, offering a truly unique view.

PROGRAMMA
11:00 AM – Meeting Point at Cristal Domino, Piazza Giacomo Matteotti, 13, 22024 Lanzo D’intelvi CO
11:15 AM – Departure and start of the hike
Around 12:45 PM – Arrival at Sighignola Balcone di Italia, free time and lunch (packed lunch or at one of the local establishments)
Around 2:30–3:00 PM – Return journey

Medium Level – About 1h 40min and approx. 4.5 km per leg, 400 m elevation gain.
No special equipment or clothing required. Always bring food and water “to keep you going”.
Trekking shoes recommended.

Note 1: Participants must reach the starting point independently (car, bus, train, etc.) or via carpooling by coordinating with other participants in the private Facebook and/or Telegram groups reserved for members (request access once you have your membership card).

Note 2: The “I will attend” button on Meetup is not considered valid for us. Meetup is only used to publish the event and gauge interest. Once you become a member, please follow the instructions for the event’s official registration.
