Join us in November to discuss The Curse of Chalion (2001) by Lois McMaster Bujold 📚

The Pitch: What if the only person capable of breaking a terrible curse is someone who desperately wants nothing more than to be left alone?

After years of war, imprisonment, and torture, Cazaril returns home hoping for a quiet life. Instead, he becomes secretary and tutor to a young royal woman—and is drawn into a web of court politics, forbidden magic, divine intervention, and a devastating curse threatening the royal family.

Lois McMaster Bujold delivers a character-driven, emotionally rich fantasy that blends political intrigue with questions of faith, sacrifice, redemption, and free will.
