An autumn woodland walk through Haldon Forest to Mamhead and St Peters Lane soaking up seasonal colours and stunning high level views of the south Devon coast and countryside surrounding Exeter. Starting at Mamhead car park walking to the Obelisk and then through the Obelisk Plantation to reach Zigzag Wood. Next following lanes and footpaths to reach St Peters Lane, descending to Higher Thornton Farm and then ascending through Holloway Lane before returning to the car park along countryside lanes.

Terrain: Public footpaths, tarmac roads and woodland trails. Footpaths can be muddy and very rocky in places and slippery due to fallen leaves/ rocks. Many stretches of ascent/ descent.
