Come, wear a name tag with your languages, circulate with friends and converse. Snacks, drinks and food are available for purchase. Please read the code of conduct and release of liability agreement below before RSVP’ing Yes.

Because our events take place at restaurants and venues in Minnesota where alcohol may be available, we require all members and guests to read, understand, and agree to this Code of Conduct and Release of Liability before participating. By RSVPing to or attending any event hosted by International Friends and Polyglots Mpls (the "Group"), you agree to the following legally binding terms.

PART 1: CODE OF CONDUCT
Respect & Inclusivity: Harassment, discrimination, bullying, or unwelcome attention toward any member, host, venue staff, or the public will result in immediate removal from the group.
Responsible Drinking: If adults choose to drink, they must do so responsibly. Outside alcohol and illegal drugs are prohibited. Organizers may remove anyone who is disruptive or overly intoxicated. Alcohol consumption is forbidden for minors.
Safe Transit: Do not drink and drive. You must arrange a safe, legal ride home (e.g., rideshare, transit, or designated driver).
Venue Rules & Tabs: You must follow all venue rules and are solely responsible for paying your own food and drink bills, including gratuity.
Reporting: Report harassment or safety violations immediately to a host so organizers can take action.

PART 2: RELEASE OF LIABILITY & ASSUMPTION OF RISK
1. Assumption of Risk: You understand that social gatherings at third-party venues involve inherent risks, including slips, trips, falls, foodborne illness, exposure to diseases, property loss, patron altercations, and risks from alcohol. You knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks, known or unknown, associated with your participation.
1. Alcohol & Transit Responsibility: The Group and its organizers do not provide, serve, or monitor alcohol consumption. Alcohol is controlled entirely by the third-party licensed venue under Minnesota Dram Shop laws (Minn. Stat. § 340A.801). You accept full personal and legal responsibility for your actions, behavior, and transit to and from the event.
1. Waiver of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by Minnesota law, you release, waive, and hold harmless the Group, its founders, organizers, co-organizers, and event hosts from all liability, claims, or demands for personal injury, illness, loss, or property damage arising from your participation, except for claims caused directly by the organizers' gross negligence or willful misconduct.
1. Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and defend the Group and its organizers against any losses, damages, or legal fees resulting from your actions, negligence, or misconduct at an event.
1. Minors: If you bring a minor, you certify that you are their parent or legal guardian. You agree to all terms of this agreement on their behalf and accept full responsibility for their safety, behavior, and strict compliance with alcohol laws.
1. Severability: If any part of this agreement is found invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining terms will remain in full force and effect.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT & CONSENT
By joining this group, RSVPing "Yes," or physically attending any event, you certify that you have read this document, understand that you are releasing the Group from legal liability, and freely agree to all its terms for yourself and any minor guests accompanying you.
