Watch Godzilla Minus Zero IMAX | Henderson & Las Vegas Movie Meetup

Godzilla Minus Zero is a 2026 Japanese epic kaiju film written, directed, and featuring visual effects by Takashi Yamazaki, serving as the direct sequel to the Academy Award-winning Godzilla Minus One (2023).

The film is set in 1949, two years after the events of Minus One, as postwar Japan struggles through a painstaking reconstruction effort.
Just as a hard-won peace begins to take hold, a new catastrophic threat emerges with the arrival of King Ghidorah, while Godzilla regenerates and resurfaces to confront the rival titan.

Director Takashi Yamazaki noted that the sequel's structural approach was inspired by sequels like Aliens (1986) and Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), digging deeper into the hooks of the original narrative.
