Our next pair of books touches on hot topics in popular culture, especially surrounding women, motherhood, and what we think we desire (or, perhaps, what ideas of "success" society expects us to pursue). We'll be reading Margo's Got Money Troubles by Rufi Thorpe (now a show on Apple TV) and Yesteryear by Caro Claire Burke (which also has a movie adaptation forthcoming).
Given that moderator Sab is out of town on the last Monday of October, our schedule is slightly modified to a Wednesday night, November 4th. We'll be meeting at the newly opened Tasyo Cafe (which closes at 8, so please try to show up to our meeting on time!)
Happy reading and Happy Halloween!
