Welcome to the autism expressed. This is a safe and structured space where you will be able to share with the group without interruption.

There will be several chances to share with the group but there is no pressure to do so, and you are welcome to just listen. There will also be opportunities to ask for opinions or advice but this is at your desecration.

There is free parking on nearby streets such as Merton, Hubert, and Tuam, the rec centre is also a good spot to park. There are several buses that pass by on Albany Hwy.

There is no charge to attend and tea and coffee are provided.

Hope to see you there
Chris

7: Structure, Routine, Discipline
Structure and Routine help us to feel safe and grounded, and to preserve our mental energy. Discipline keeps us in a healthy pattern and keeps us growing. It can take time to build healthy habits, and they can be lost if there is too much happening. Sometimes it is good to have novelty and break routine, but the more stability we have in our lives the safer we feel to explore.
Are you happy with your level of self-care?
Do you consider yourself disciplined?
Are you able to keep to structure in your life?
Are you realistic when you plan structure and goals?
What are some disciplines you do that help you?
Is your life generally structured or a little random?
8: The Importance of Gratitude and Pleasure
Life can be intense at times; we get challenged and the feelings are not pleasant. While we need to accept and process what is happening to us, we also need to sometimes step back and try to relax and feel some gratitude, at times this is hard to do and may feel counter-intuitive. Taking time to watch the trees while savouring a cup of tea can help rewire the brain to calmer thinking, but sometimes calmness is tantamount to being out of reach.
What calms you?
Do you sometimes neglect to try to slow down?
Do you ruminate on bad things too much?
Have you ever been so distressed you can’t calm down?
What is something you can reflect on for gratitude?
What is something you savour?
Do you have a safe place or places?
