ITINERARY
Start and End in Negombo, close to the airport. Arrival to Sri Lanka is usually late at night. Your Negombo hotel is the best starting point for this wonderful tour.

Day 1 - Negombo - Colombo - Negombo
St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church (Largest Sri Lankan Cathedral)
Dutch Fort, Angurukaramulla Temple, (Dutch) Hamilton Canal
Colombo's Old Parliament Building, Green Path, Gangaramaya Temple and Independence Square.

DAY 2 - Negombo - Anuradhapura
Worlds' largest granite statue of Samadhi Buddha, 67.5 feet height, considered one of the best sculptures in world.
Isurumuniya Temple Lovers Statue and Royal Family Carvings.
Ruwanwelisay, one of the tallest Buddhist stupas with a height of 103 m and a very calming place.
Pancavasa located in the Abayagiri Monastery in Anuradhapura.
Thuparamaya is the earliest documented Buddhist temple in Sri Lanka.
Mirisawetiya Dagaba Anuradhapura a huge dome, one of the biggest in Sri Lanka built 161 – 137 BC
2000 year old Brazen Palace because the roof was covered with bronze tiles.
Visit Samadhi Buddha which is depicted in the Dhyana Mudra, the posture of meditation.

DAY 3 - Anuradhapura - Sigiriya - Dambulla
Sigiriya’s No1 Attraction - this fortress was built on a rock 2500 years ago, get ready to climb 1200 steps! "Optional"
Polonnaruwa ancient city tour. “Polonnaruwa” Museum, King’s palace in Polonnaruwa, Ancient Galviharaya Temple Complex, “Thiwanka Image House”

DAY 4 - Dambulla
Dambulla Cave Temple - the cave sanctuary complex, which includes more than 150 Buddha statues and hundreds of colourful paintings.
4x4 Jeep Safari in Minneriya National Game Park. Herds of Elephants roam the jungle, Wild Boar, Sloth Bear, Spotted Deer, Wild Buffalos also.
Village tour to watch traditional cooking, our lunch is included.

DAY 5 - Dambulla - Kandy
Famous Royal Botanical Garden in Kandy.
Beautiful “Udawatta Kele” Sanctuary. "Optional on timing"
Nelligala Buddhist Temple is amazing.
Famous Buddhist Temple situated at Peradeniya. 500-600 steps to the top.
Kandy National Museum Tour - museum and temple of the tooth relic.
Old Royal Palace 1634. "Optional"
Spice Garden is a must visit.

DAY 6 - Kandy - Nuwara Eliya
Famous stop over, “Labukale” tea plantation.
“Little England” compared to “New Zealand” in Sri Lanka. Visit well known “Ambewela” milk & cheese farms.
Experience tea culture in Sri Lanka, famous Ceylon Tea sitting.
Strawberry farm to enjoy a nice fresh strawberry juice or yummy shakes.
Gregory Lake for sunset & walk around in “Little England” "Optional"

DAY 7 - Nuwara Eliya - Ella - Mirissa
Ella is a wonderful town in southern Sri Lanka and a stop that can’t be missed while travelling this beautiful country. In Ella, you experience its magical, lush landscapes and tea plantations.

DAY 8 - Marissa - Galle - Benton
Galle is inextricably linked to the great maritime powers of the 16th and 17th Centuries: Portugal, Holland and England.
Portuguese first landing in Galle in 1505, named city Sinhalese word ‘’gala’’ meaning rock.

DAY 9 - Benton - Colombo
Benton is a coastal town with beautiful beaches.
Madu Ganga river boat safari is approximately 2 hours. This includes Cinnamon Island tour where an expert demonstrates how cinnamon is derived from trees. Fish Therapy "optional". The treatment is that the fish soften calluses, help lighten dark cuticles and increase circulation. We also can hold Baby Crocodiles.

DAY 10 - Colombo - Sydney (late evening flight)
Lotus Tower - tallest building in Colombo. "Optional"
Built in the year 1909 the Jami ul Alfar Mosque aka the Red Mosque due to its candy-stripped walls oldest mosque in Sri Lanka.
Afternoon free time.
