The route mixes natural-surface paths with boardwalk sections and short built features, creating a walk that shifts between leafy forest, wetland edge, and overlooks above the surrounding landscape. Large live oaks, dense understory, and the marsh boardwalk give the trail a varied feel for a relatively short outing, while bridges and lookout structures add interest without taking away from the park’s quiet, family-friendly character. I recommend bringing water, bug spray and wearing shoes you don't mind getting dirty.
