This month we will be on Wednesday Agenda: 18:00 - Drinks and network. 18:30 - Talks 19:30 - Food and more networking --- Main talk: Find Joy In Building Your Own Tools: Programming Is Play Often times programming can feel can feel like getting work done, but when it comes to building your own tools it can become about making your life easy and bringing joy. Play with your tools, the tools you create. This talk uses my image management tool, Imagine, as an example of how this can be achieved. Using my background as a photographer, we can explore how researching and understanding the tools you need to use doesn't need to feel like work but bettering yourself through exploring your passions. However, your tools don't only have to be about you, there's joy in building community through your creations Speaker: My name is Les, a 24 year old multidisciplinary creative working in photography, graphic design and music, and a self-taught programmer and developer. Being a creator is at the core of who I am, and I'm about applying all my skills to creating what I want for myself and sharing that with everyone else I'm a first-year student at WeThinkCode, learning to apply myself in an everyday group setting, sharing my knowledge and talents with everyone and to learn from them too.
