What if grief doesn't need you to do anything?
Someone died. A marriage ended. A career closed, a friendship went silent, or the person you used to be is no longer here. The mind gets busy: it shouldn't have happened, I should have done more, I'll never feel that joy again.
This is four days, in person, to write those thoughts down and question them. Small group, ten at most, in Lake Forest Park, just north of Seattle.
Bring your petty thoughts and your heartbreaking ones. Both belong.
The retreat falls across Halloween, Samhain and Día de los Muertos. Saturday morning we join a freeform dance with an altar for those who have died. Bring a photo of an ancestor, a beloved, a pet. No dance experience needed. Turnarounds land differently in the body.
Open to everyone, whether you're new to The Work or have practiced for years.
Facilitated by Grace Bell, Certified Facilitator of The Work since 2007.
Dates: Thursday, October 29, 9:30am, through Sunday, November 1, noon
Tuition: $875, non-residential. One onsite lodging spot is available; hotels and rentals are nearby for those traveling.
