Continental Divide Overlook via Fowler - 7.5 miles and 1,400 feet EG

Let's hike from the Fowler trailhead on CO 67 into Eldorado Canyon State Park and take the Rattlesnake Gulch trail up the mountain. We will pass the historic Crags Hotel ruins on our way to the Continental Divide overlook. We will take a number of short breaks to enjoy the beautiful scenery and watch the rock climbers as well as a longer break at the overlook.

Parking is along the road and limited, so we will carpool to the trailhead from the Eldorado Canyon/Marshall Mesa Park-n-Ride. Please be on time, so we can leave no later than 9:35.

Please bring layers, sun protection, water, and a snack. Also take a picture of your car registration if you paid for the "Keep Colorado Wild" pass with your registration. Technically, we could get asked for proof that we paid the State Park entrance fee.
