Upper Kananaskis Lake is a fabulous hike with relatively easy terrain and is rated Moderate. The trail will follow the shore of the lake for the duration of the trip which allows for a picturesque view of the lake and surrounding mountains. It looks like favorable condition for the week coming up.
Expect these conditions will be the same next week.

Location: Kananaskis Lake Parking Lot (See map pin)
NOTE: Difficulty Moderate- This is a hike at 15.8 kms, in length with elevation of is 264 m.
Weather: To be updated as we get closer to the hike day (usually the Friday before the hike day).

RECOMMENDED GEAR & SUPPLIES
Walking/hiking poles - very useful for hiking for distance
Good hiking shoes recommended
Appropriate clothing / layers - Carry layers so you can remove and add
layers as needed. Breathable clothing is recommended that keeps
your body warm and keeps moisture away from your skin.
Safety
Personal first aid kit suggested, (Am Certified in CPR and Wilderness Safety) Carry a
first aid kit in the case of emergency.
Bear Spray
Sunglasses
Definitely bring snacks/lunch and water. We will stop at the falls to enjoy a break.
