San Marcos Hike > Prospect Park and Lower Purgatory Creek

We will be joining up with the San Marcos Take a Hike meetup group.

Join us for a 3-4 mile hike in the Prospect Park Natural Area and continuing into Lower Purgatory.

We're always easy to find. Just look for the bunch of people standing around at the trailhead!

Expect a pace of around 3 miles/hr
The trails are fairly flat but there are some uneven rocky areas.

Detailed instructions:
Get off of IH 35 at Exit 202, Wonderworld/RT 12 and go West toward Wimberly.
Right at the second traffic light, Hunter Road (CVS on the corner).
Left at the first traffic light, Bishop Street (Stripes gas station on the corner).
Left on Prospect street (will be the third street on your left).
Park near the end of the street.
