The Chicago R User Group is getting the band back together!

The R Consortium's R+AI 2026 conference runs online Nov 10-11. It's a good excuse for us to reconvene. There will be no talks, no slides, and no projector. Just some reserved tables, beer, and R users with plenty to talk about in age of AI.

Why now: Rumors of R's demise have been greatly exaggerated. It's moved from 13 to 8 on the TIOBE index over the last year and packages published to CRAN are at an all-time high. Somewhat surprisingly, in the age of AI, R is in better shape than ever!

That said, CRUG needs new organizers! We have over 3,500 members and this will our 99th meetup! We've been relatively quiet over the last few years. We need fresh blood! If you want to be the organizer of CRUG's 100th meetup, this is your opportunity!

Stop in a for a couple two tree beers! The following day is Veterans Day!
