DTLA FASHION DISTRICT - Italian Dinner at Rossoblu (Shuttering)

IMPORTANT NOTE: DUE TO TOO MANY LAST-MINUTE RSVP CANCELLATIONS RECENTLY, ANYONE WHO CANCELS WITH LESS THAN 72-HOUR NOTICE, NO SHOWS, OR ARRIVES MORE THAN 10 MINUTES LATE WILL BE PLACED ON A 2-MONTH PROBATION AND WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND ANY EVENTS DURING THAT PROBATIONARY PERIOD.

Rossoblu is an independently owned restaurant from husband-and-wife team Chef Steve Samson and Dina Samson. (Steve Samson formerly worked at Sotto in Beverly Hills.) The menu draws on Steve’s Bolognese heritage, which was shaped by summers with his grandparents. He has brought to life through Los Angeles ingredients, wood-fired cooking, handmade pastas, and a full in-house butchery and salumi program rooted in tradition and craft. A regular on LA Times' 101 Best Restaurants, Rossoblu will be shuttering its doors by the end of October after 10 years. So, we will have one last dinner there.

IMPORTANT EVENT INFO:

Please arrive very early to find parking. We will meet by the entrance for our 5:30 pm reservation.

The meal here is expected to be around $100 or more, depending on how much food we order, any drinks you may order, tax, and at least 20% gratuity. Please bring at least $150 in cash (small denominations preferred) to pay for your share of the meal. However, if necessary, I can accept payments via Zelle (which, unlike PayPal or Venmo, does not charge a service fee).

Optional Family-Style Dining: Dining for this event has been designated as Family-Style. The food bill will be split evenly among all attendees. Attendees will be responsible for paying for their beverages. Please note that flexibility is an important part of family-style dining, and if you want to attend, you have to be amenable to what the group/AO orders. You don't have to eat everything that is ordered, but everyone pays equally, whether you eat everything or not. If this definition of Family-Style Dining doesn't feel comfortable, this may not be the right type of event for you. Also, if you have ANY dietary restrictions or ingredients you don't want to eat, you may want to skip this event. Ordering dishes modified to fit someone's dietary needs or personal tastes will alter the true flavors of those dishes for the rest of the group.
