Hike at Inks Lake

Join fellow Sierra clubbers for a hike at Inks Lake State Park
Everyone is responsible for their own park entry fee.

is a gem of the Texas Hill Country. This park gets some of the best and widest variety of flowers, which show off beautifully against the red granite landscape.

We will hike a 5-6 mile loop trail at a moderately brisk pace on rugged terrain. Sturdy footware and water will be essential, wide brim is recommended. We will meet at the main trailhead parking lot. There is a new entrance this year and the trailhead is near the old welcome building. You can ask directions when you check in at the new welcome center. Bring your own snacks and lunch.
The Sierra Club is not allowed to organize carpools but we highly recommend doing so. Many folks will rendez-vous at the Y in Oak Hill, Central Market on North Lamar, and REI Gateway. If you wish to drive or ride in a carpool, please leave a comment on the meetup page. I can meet folks at the Walgreens at 1505 W.Whitestone Blvd in Cedar Park.
