Tampa Reel to Reel Restoration Workshop

Whether you have a box of home movies gathering dust or you are just curious about how magnetic tape works, I would like to invite you to our upcoming restoration workshop here in Tampa. This is a hands-on session for the Analog Magnetic Tape Enthusiasts Club where we will walk through the basics of cleaning, splicing, and stabilizing vintage tapes. It is a great chance to bring along a project you are working on or simply learn the mechanics behind keeping these old formats alive.

We are keeping this informal and collaborative, so there is no pressure if you are a total beginner. Most of us are just here to share what we have learned, troubleshoot common issues like shedding or tangled reels, and meet others in the area who appreciate the tactile side of analog media. Please bring any specific gear or tapes you have questions about, and we will do our best to get them back in working order together.

If you think you can make it, please take a moment to RSVP so I can get a rough head count for the workspace. We look forward to seeing you there.
