Hirsau Black Forest Hike

Join us for on November 1st for a hike in the foothills of the Black Forest to the historical Hirsau monastery. We will start in Bad Liebenzell, and then walk south through the valley. We can explore a valley called "Wolfsschlucht" (wolf valley!). We then reach Hirsau, an important ruined Benedictine monastery from the 11th century. After exploring this and hopefully painting some watercolors, we head back to Bad Liebenzell on the other, western side of the valley. There are some caves on that side as well. We should be back in Bad Liebenzell ca 3–4 pm.

🚂 recommended train connections:
To go to Bad Liebenzell from Tübingen/Reutlingen direction, you can just take the RE74 train which departs Tübingen and 9:29 am and arrives in Bad Liebenzell at 10:57.

To go to Bad Liebenzell from the north of Baden Württemberg, you can take the RE74 in the other direction which departs Pforzheim at 10:36 and arrives in Bad Liebenzell at 10:58. Pforzheim is easy to reach from Karlsruhe, Mannheim etc.

We expect to be back in Bad Liebenzell around 15:00–16:00.
