Aberdeen Swing into the Contra Groove

We are excited to bring the contra dance community together for a fun evening of music and movement right here in Aberdeen. Whether you have been dancing for years or are stepping onto the floor for the first time, this event is all about enjoying the rhythm and the social atmosphere that makes contra dancing so special. We will have a caller on hand to walk us through the patterns, so do not worry if you are feeling a bit rusty or are completely new to the style.

This gathering is meant to be a relaxed way to meet others in the local dance scene and just have a good time. We encourage everyone to wear comfortable shoes and bring a water bottle, but mostly just bring yourself and an open mind. We are really looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and welcoming new ones to the group. If you think you can make it, please let us know by clicking the RSVP button so we can get an idea of numbers for the hall.
