A front-loaded summit push, rolling valleys and a classic Surrey village finish
Ready for a proper day out in the Surrey Hills National Landscape? This 28-kilometre loop from Oxted opens with a big early climb, hits its 264 m high point at just 3 km in, then rolls across deep valleys and villages before finishing back where we started.
We leave Oxted Station and go straight up onto The Ridge, the highest point of the day, with wide-open views south across the Weald. From there we roll along the hills past Gangers Hill, dip into and climb out of the Caterham Valley and Dome Hill area, and push up to the Stanstead Road ridge near Chaldon. After that comes a long descent through Bletchingley, then a gentle return via Tandridge and Old Oxted to the finish.
