Twixmas Walking Break – North York Moors & Coast

Make the most of the days between Christmas and New Year with three nights of sociable walking in the North York Moors.

Based in Pickering, this small-group break combines crisp winter walks across the moors with coastal walking between Robin Hood’s Bay and Whitby. We also plan to explore Goathland and Grosmont, followed by a shorter final-day walk around Helmsley, Rievaulx Abbey or Sutton Bank.

Walks will be graded Leisurely and will typically cover around six to eight miles. Winter routes may change according to the weather and ground conditions.

The break includes:

Three nights in an upgraded Premier Plus room at the Premier Inn Pickering
Breakfast each morning
Guided walks with a Large Outdoors host
Transport throughout the break
Optional collection from Malton railway station at approximately 18:00
Return transfer to Malton on the final day
A maximum group size of eight

Evening meals are not included, but we’ll eat together at local pubs and restaurants, including a planned fish and chip supper in Whitby.

Most people booking a Large Outdoors trip come on their own, so you do not need to know anybody before you arrive.
