This hike offers scenic views of the Farmington Valley and Downtown Hartford with part of the trail circling reservoir 6. This hike is 8.6 miles with 735 feet of elevation gain with a pace of 25 minute miles or 2.4 miles per hour.
Parking is at the entrance of Reservoir 6 with additional parking just North of the parking lot off of Route 44.
Everyone goes on the waitlist and I will interview people I do not know to make sure they are capable of completing this hike at this pace. It is very important to keep the group moving according to the hike description so everyone has an enjoyable experience.
Meet at 10:00 and hit the trail at 10:15 sharp!
Make sure you bring water and extra layers of clothing for changing weather conditions. If there is snow and ice on the ground then micro spikes are highly recommended.
Event organizers are just responsible for leading the hike, they are not guides. Everyone should be prepared to take care of themselves. Please download the route on All Trails in case you get separated from the group.
