Liverpool Weekend Away

It’s a three day away trip to Liverpool with most people staying at hotels near Liverpool Lime Street station. All walks will start from Lime Street Station and can be easily accessed by the excellent public transport links especially Mersey Rail. Cheap train tickets with direct trains from Nottingham and other stations to Liverpool will become available from August but you will be looking at £25 to £40 return. On Sunday it’s the usual evening exploration around Liverpool and on Monday we take the train for a visit to Brotherton Woods a magical wooded glade and a visit to St. Patrick’s Well before we reach the end of the walk at the spectacular Port Sunlight. The final day will see us take the train up the coast to walk down the spectacular coastline of the Mersey Estuary and a visit to the Anthony Gormley Statues.
