Come join us in beautiful Cyprus for some stunning coastal walks by some stunning beaches, delightful forestry and many historical sites ! We shall be staying and walking in the southern Greek side of Cyprus throughout the trip. With temperatures still quite high in October there shall be plenty of time to enjoy sunbathing and swimming in the sea. We shall spend Sunday and Tuesday evenings in Ayia Napa which will not be hectic in October but still very enjoyable. Lets go with the flow ! We shall be staying as follows : 5 nights Friday to Wednesday in Protaras or nearby Pernera I suggest we stay in Protaras These two hotels are very close to each other : Kapetanios Bay Hotel Protaras and Mandali Hotel Make your hotel bookings on booking.com in the months to come and leave a comment to that effect on the event page. You may wish of course to arrive a day or two early or stay on beyond Wednesday and further explore the area. Deadline to book hotel is 31st March. Recommended flights : Easyjet Gatwick to Larnaca return Outbound Friday 9th October 3.20pm to 10pm Inbound Wednesday 14th October 6.50pm to 9.50pm Alternatively you could choose to fly back to Luton with Easyjet on Wednesday 14th October 4.15pm to 7.20pm We shall be taking buses and maybe the odd taxi as appropriate to or from the walking routes. There is no obligation to do all the walks. Likely walks ( 5 to 9 miles in length) : Saturday Grecian Park to Cape Greco Sunday Ayia Thekla to Ayia Napa Monday Freetime to further explore the area such as Larnaca or even possibly venture into Turkish Northern Cyprus Tuesday Monument for Peace to Ayia Napa Wednesday morning Grecian Park to Kapparis via Pernera Meetup fee £40 payable in advance by bank transfer ( season ticket holders : £30 ) Deadline to pay is Sunday 20th September. You should be able to walk 2.5 miles per hour and have adequate and appropriate insurance for this type of activity. Walking and hiking in the Great Outdoors presents certain low level risks and by rsvping to this trip you agree to undertake such risks.
