Blackness Blast

Route map (does not include minor diversion to the House of Binns) Ride summary: Join a ride out to Blackness, via Winchburgh and the canal. On the way we'll stop for a wander in the grounds of the House of the Binns for a closer look at the Binns Tower. Then continue via Mannerston's - we'll take a vote on a sit-in lunch here or a picnic in the grounds of Blackness castle. We'll start our return with a final view of the Binns Tower up above St Ninian's Way, just before we enter the woods. We'll go on through to the Hopetoun Estate and South Queensferry, Dalmeny, and enter Edinburgh via Cramond Brig. Around 35 miles, the ride is predominantly on off-road and segregated, shared use paths and quiet back roads. There is a very short section with fast traffic to access the House of Binns and Mannerston's from Pardovan Holdings.
