A Hobbit's Oktoberfest

In a fine October spirit of setting out on adventures that involve interesting fall winds and swirling leaves in mild rain, well be doing The Hobbit for the October meeting. I'd hoped to have this out sooner, but it's been a busy week, and of course, even if all of us could not probably rattle off the whole plot from memory with our favorite parts in more detail, I doubt any of us would ever have trouble "finding time" to read it in three weeks . . . give us even a hint of an excuse, and we'll drop everything else.
