November Book Club: The Tainted Cup by Robert Jackson Bennett

November's Book of the Month is The Tainted Cup by Robert Jackson Bennett. This one is a wildly inventive and gripping fantasy mystery! It follows a highly eccentric, Sherlock-esque detective and her magically-altered assistant as they investigate a bizarre murder—a high-ranking official who inexplicably erupts into a giant tree—inside a walled empire constantly under threat by colossal monsters. Think classic murder mystery deduction, incredibly unique botanical magic, giant kaiju-style threats, and fantastic character dynamics.

We’ll chat about the book, vote on what to read next, and take some time to hang out and connect over coffee. I'll have my pink Stanley cup on the table so you know exactly where to find us!
