Is the First Amendment still protecting us—or shifting under our feet? 🤔

The separation of church and state was designed to protect minority faith communities and guarantee freedom for and from religion. But with recent shifts in courts and politics, where does that line stand today?
Come to the Boulder JCC for an eye-opening evening, lively discussion, and critical insights on the future of religious freedom in America and Colorado.

What we’ll cover:

Modern threats to church-state separation and issues like public education, LGBTQ+ rights, and reproductive freedom.
What this all means specifically for Colorado and our local community.

Who’s speaking?
🎤 Paul Golin (Executive Director of the Society for Humanistic Judaism & Jews for a Secular Democracy)
🎤 Steve Fenberg (Former Colorado Senate President)

It’s completely FREE to attend, but please RSVP here so the JCC knows to expect you!

When: Thursday\, October 22 | 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Where: Boulder JCC
Cost: Free!

(Co-hosted in partnership with Beth Ami -Colorado Congregation for Humanistic Judaism)

Beth Ami, the only Humanistic Jewish congregation in Colorado, is a proud affiliate of the Society for Humanistic Judaism. We celebrate Jewish holidays, learning and life cycle events through the secular lens of history, culture, and reason. We believe in the human capacity to create a better world without supernatural intervention.

Beth Ami is a welcoming community where we connect to Jewish past, celebrate Jewish present and link to Jewish future through a humanistic philosophy. We encourage anyone interested in learning about Humanistic Judaism to attend this and all our events.

Let's do Jewish together - Humanistically!
