Local Walk: Wimblebury Hill & Chasewater Park

Route variant in popular terrain in superlative south staffordshire, the walk is picturesque throughout, and we're likely to see some deer.

Logistics:
Meet: 10:10 check-in, to start within 5-10 minutes, or earlier if all visible are ready.
Distance: Around 10 miles
Start Point: Cul-de-sac end of Church Street, Chasetown, WS7 3QN
Parking: Roadside along Church Street, or at the Chasetown public car park (free) at the very end beyond Chasetown Football Ground.
Driving: For drivers with an unfortunate fixation on using postcodes to navigate, this road CANNOT be accessed from Burntwood Way.
Terrain: Open rural landscapes, gently undulating, incorporating woodland, heathland, moorland and lakes with some nice viewing points

RoadMap: Streetmap.co.uk - Map of 404086,308171

Earthview: Google Maps or Colliery Rd - Google Maps
(note, google incorrectly believes this road to be called colliery road which is incorrect, it is church road)

Refreshments: Picnic stop, and pub stop after 6 miles, and optionally a great watering hole at the end.
Bring: Waterproofs & Refreshments & Good walking footwear, and clothing to match the weather.
Emergency Contact: 078.13.73.76.23 though not available while driving or for routine lateness problems. Today's walk/route leader is Paul W

Safety:
As with any outdoor activity, there is some inherent risk. Whilst we aim to avoid unnecessary risks, participants should take all reasonable precautions themselves. A suitable pace for the walk will be determined by the walk leader, which others must observe by keeping in visible distance, not forging ahead or lagging behind. Those attending are totally responsible for their own safety. You must be comfortable walking the specified distance in order to attend please.

RSVP Commitment:
Places are not unlimited, so withdrawing in the last 24 hours is not allowed. Attendances shouldn't be compromised by ghosting (no-shows, late withdrawals, and uncommitted waitlisting) so reliable attendees will take priority at future events.
