Hi all,
The new Martin McDonagh film is finally upon us. I’m setting up Wild Horse Nine for this Sunday, November 8th at 2.50pm.
It’s 1973, and CIA agents Lee and Chris (Sam Rockwell and John Malkovich, both terrific) are working undercover in the Chilean capital of Santiago to destabilise the country following the election of socialist prime minister Allende.
They soon find themselves on Easter Island for reasons that are teasingly revealed in Martin McDonagh’s frequently hilarious, and surprisingly poignant story of a friendship in crisis. With trademark mordant humour, McDonagh’s intricate script casts a baleful eye over the recent history of US foreign interventions.
Screening is taking place in Screen 2 and there are plenty of tickets left as of Tuesday PM however early booking is advised.
I will be in the foyer from around 2.20pm with my purple baseball hat.
