Ashridge, Aldbury and The Grand Union Canal 11.5 Mile Circular Walk

This charming walk from Ashridge becomes especially stunning as autumn sets in, with beech, oak, and lime trees showing off their distinctive hues to create a beautiful display of colour. The mix of vibrant foliage and sweeping views of the surrounding countryside makes it a truly delightful route. What to Expect A 11.5 mile walk mainly on good tracks and small lanes, some tracks may be muddy and uneven in places. There will be a few hills to tackle but nothing too steep and a total ascent of around 900ft. We will maintain a pace of just over 3mph throughout the walk. This is a lovely walk that is reasonably challenging due to the distance and ascent. It is suitable for anyone that is a regular walker with a good standard of fitness.
