An early coffee stop at Barnham, 'Normans Coffee', 7 miles from Littlehampton.
Then a familiar route up and over Eartham and a sharp left turn, on the lane that takes us along the north side of the Downs. Lunch at West Dean Gardens Cafe (waitress service), almost 20 miles from the start.
No hill, Centurian Way railway path after lunch, to Chichester. Bridge crossing over the A27. Cautious crossing by island, to join stony path, between gravel pits (deep water), that we have cycled on past rides. Dismount anytime if you need to. At end of path there is a pedestrian, traffic light crossing. Then it is country lanes to a field path, with a stream bridge crossing - please ask for assistance if unsure. Followed by road down to Bognor promenade. At eastern end of the prom. there is a short bike walk over pebbles, except for determined MTBikers. Emerge at Village, half a mile from joining the roadside cycle path to Littlehampton Footbridge. If cycling the entire route, you shall clock up 40 miles total.

All participants are ultimately responsible for their own safety and getting home if bike cannot be repaired roadside. The first aid provisions are no different from if you were riding on your own or informally with friends.
