🎨 Leap Sandcastle Classic -- Ocean Beach 🔆 The Leap Sandcastle Classic is Northern California's largest sandcastle competition. Now in its 44th year, this joyful event brings together design professionals, corporate sponsors, local students, and others to build massive sand sculptures, raising funds for Bay Area arts education. This year's theme is "Bay Area Vibes" — celebrating the region's music, art, culture, and architecture. Organized by Leap Arts in Education, this event features team competition, live music, food trucks, and celebrity judges, with the public invited to watch dozens of supersized sculptures take shape. 🍒 Leap's goal is to raise $300,000 to support K-5 arts education programs. ▪︎ Meet at 12:00 sharp at Ocean Beach Cafe (734 La Playa) ▪︎ PLEASE bring $5 to donate to the valuable Leap arts program. ▪︎ Also bring: a beach chair or blanket, a hat, sunscreen, and a lunch. There will also be food trucks on site. ▪︎ PLEASE don't be a no-show. If your plans change, remember to update your RSVP prior to the event. ▪︎ A late cancellation will count as a no-show.
