🐍 Python × Docker 🐳 Joint Meetup at JobRad 🚲

Hey Docker & Python Pals 🐍🐳!
This time, we’re doing something special: the Python User Group Freiburg and the Docker Meetup group are joining forces for an evening at JobRad 🚲!

Whether you spend your days writing Python, building containers, deploying, fixing 😅, or you’re afraid of worms, come along!

🗓️ Date: 27.10.2026
📝 Agenda:
18:00 - Arrival, settling in, eating, and drinking 🥤
18:40 - Kick-off with awesome presentations 🎉
18:45 - 🪱 Security Immediate Plan for Python: Because we couldn't possibly organize a Python meetup without bringing some Python into the mix 😉, Mohammad-Ali A'râbi will start with a short talk on how Python developers can defend themselves and their projects against this kind of supply-chain attack. The talk will mention sbx, dependency locking, Docker Hardened Images, and SBOM attestations.
19:00 - 📦 SBX and AI Agent Activity Tracking: Your AI coding agent has access to your whole system. Put it in a sandbox. Docker Captain Julian König is going to talk about Docker's new thing, sbx, and Docker Captain Marco Franzon travels all the way from Italy to talk about AI agent activity tracking and sbx.
19:30 - On (Modern?) Software Development: Everyone nowadays is talking about AI, and for sure for good reason. On this day, Alexander Thurow will emerge from the depths of Black Forest in order to shed some light on the more timeless facets he saw during his twenty-one years in the "professional software development" business. On top of that, you can rest assured: the topic of AI will not be spared...

20:30 - Time to chat, share ideas, and enjoy some free discussion time 💬🐍
21:30 - End of the event
