Join Randy for a beautiful late-October adventure on the Ice Age Trail surrounding Holy Hill, one of southeastern Wisconsin’s most recognizable landmarks.
We’ll begin by following the Ice Age Trail around the magnificent Holy Hill Basilica, enjoying the wooded surroundings and the rolling landscape of the Kettle Moraine. From there, we’ll continue north on the IAT to Pleasant Hill Road, then retrace our steps for the return hike.
The first half of the hike is fairly hilly, so be prepared for some climbing along the way. The reward will be a wonderful stretch of woodland trail and, hopefully, some lingering fall colors to brighten the scenery!
Distance: Approximately 8 miles
Terrain: Wooded Ice Age Trail with some significant hills, particularly during the first half.
Route: Around Holy Hill Basilica, then north to Pleasant Hill Road and back.
Restrooms: Available at the church.
Hike Leader: Randy
