Welcome to our first Auckland Game Developers & Playtesters Meetup! This is our first get-together and the beginning of our game development journey. We’ll meet each other, talk about the games we enjoy, share our backgrounds and interests, and discuss what we’d like to build and learn together in the coming months. I’ll also present a roadmap for our journey, including the platforms, tools, and ideas we’ll explore to create a productive environment for game development and playtesting. Feel free to have a look at the full plan on our Meetup page before the event to get an idea of what we’ll be exploring together in the upcoming sessions. Whether you're already developing games, learning Unity or coding, interested in AI-assisted game development, love playing and testing games, or simply have an idea for a game — you're welcome! 📍 Room: Betty Wark Room 📍 Address: 2 Freyberg Place, Auckland CBD What we'll do: Meet and introduce ourselves Talk about our favourite games and game-development interests Introduce the roadmap for future Meetup sessions Discuss game ideas, development, playtesting, and publishing Network 💻 Feel free to bring your laptop if you'd like, but it isn't necessary for this first session. 🚗 Parking: A convenient option is Victoria Street Car Park at 30 Kitchener Street. There are also commercial parking options around Chancery, very close to Freyberg Place. 🚶 Public transport: The venue is right in Auckland CBD, so public transport is also a good option. Looking forward to meeting everyone and starting our game-development journey together! 🎮
