Local Walk: Barton Under Needwood & Wychnor

Local Walk: Barton Under Needwood & Wychnor Classic countryside walk route, from the much loved setting of Barton Under Needwood, just off the A38. We will cover a wide mix of terrain, especially woodland, poolside, parkland and towpath, with some fine views, and gentle undulation in places. Logistics Meet: 10:15 check-in, to start within 10 mins, or earlier if all visible are ready. Distance: moderate distance of around 10 miles. Start Point: By first pool on the right near entrance to Barton Marina (just off the A38), DE13 8AS Map: Streetmap.co.uk - Map of 419829,318379 Satellite: England - Google Maps Parking: There are several car parks at Barton Marina Terrain: Rural and mainly off-road. Mix of tracks and grass. Refreshments: Bring Picnic Lunch, and we'll include at least 1 pub stop. Bring: Waterproofs & Refreshments & Good walking footwear, and clothing to match the weather.
