Riverside Gardens, Baigup Wetlands & Maylands Peninsula (7km)

This is one of my favourite walks. Let's have a pleasant stroll on a Sunday morning along the river followed by a wonderful coffee at the Oarhouse! A brisk start to the day sees us heading to the Baigup Wetlands to view the beautiful spring fed lakes amongst the paperbarks and plentiful water birds, we will then head to the Maylands Peninsular past the Police horse Complex and Tranby House before looping back to the start. Dogs are welcome. There is a huge off-lead dog area for them to run nearby. Difficulty Expect a spirited walking pace of about 5.5-6km/h. The tracks are level and paved most of the way with a few compacted dirt paths. Nothing difficult. Where? MeetUp near The Oarhouse Café. Find us exactly at the pin drop by clicking on the map . Parking There is plenty of parking near the meeting point. Toilets At the Oarhouse Café and a few others on the track Cafè The awesome Oarhouse Café has a well deserved reputation for its muffins and other gastronomic delights and the coffee is the best in this area.
