Software Freedom Day 2026: Organizing with FOSS

Every year, somewhere around the third Saturday of September, hackers, free software users and open source adepts celebrate Software Freedom Day. HSBXL is marking it on Saturday 26 September with a full day of talks, followed by a communal dinner. This year's theme is Organizing with FOSS: how people actually use free and open source software to run events, manage their work and personal lives, and keep control of their own data. Talks on other FOSS topics are welcome too, so expect a spread across privacy, open data and security.
