Walk: Southern Bath Landscapes

We have a thrilling new circular route in Somerset, which if (optionally) combined with either spending Sunday at the famous Bath Spa itself, or doing another nearby walk, and a Saturday evening out, then becomes our first half term getaway of 2027

Logistics
Meet: Check-in 10:40 for prompt start within 5-10 mins, or as soon as all visible are ready.
Distance: Around 9 miles, which at this time of year means we must leave bang on time please.
Start: Park & Ride on the Southwest side of Bath, A367, BA2 2SL, W3W=lease.shut.cave
Terrain: Gently undulating rolling countryside with greet views, we pass the villages of South Stoke, Midford, Wellow and Coombe Hay.
Lateness: Don't be late please, but if you encounter the unexpected, then after 1 mile we pass South Stoke church, near where you could park.

Refreshments: Picnic stop, and pub stop at mid distance.
Bring: Waterproofs & Refreshments & Good walking footwear, and clothing to match the weather.
Guests: Under 16s & dogs (behaved, under control) may attend as guests.

Bath has a YMCA Hostel, 3 Travelodges, 1 Premier Inn, many AirBnbs, and plenty of pubs!.

Safety
As with any outdoor activity, there is some inherent risk. Whilst we aim to avoid unnecessary risks, participants should take all reasonable precautions themselves. A suitable pace for the walk will be determined by the walk leader, which others must observe by keeping in visible distance, not forging ahead or lagging behind. Those attending are totally responsible for their own safety. You must be comfortable walking the specified distance in order to attend please.

Places are limited, so withdrawing in the last 24 hours is not allowed. Attendances shouldn't be compromised by ghosting (no-shows, late withdrawals, uncommitted waitlisting) so reliable attendees will take priority at future events.
