Yes, I'm still alive and kicking and if you've been wondering where I've been my answer is here. Not here, as in this lame fucking platform, but here on planet earth and the reason it's taken me a while to schedule a hike is because I Don't Have To Explain Myself

Anyway, I recently conducted a poll to see what hike you'd all like me to schedule next.

Now when I say "conducted" it was really just me posing a question, which I suppose is still technically a poll. If you didn't receive the actual poll question, that's because I don't really mean poll in the common sense of the word since I only asked one person:

And in an overwhelming majority, Laskey Mesa in the Las Virgenes Open Space won. I can't say it wasn't close though; this hike won out by a single vote! Amazing, right?!

Now because I like to do the right thing I am sticking to scheduling the winning vote instead of overriding it, drawing new district lines, sending spies to monitor people, or outright lie and cheat about said votes (like every single politician, past, present and future).

Don't worry, unlike any upcoming election where you'll be forced to bend over and endure the outcome, you'll actually enjoy this one.

It's got elegant rolling hillsides dotted with grand oaks, gently winding trails, massively impressive 360° views of the Valley and beyond, and a stunning Hike Leader! 😻

We'll do about 4.5 miles and yes, Charlie Brown, this has a climb to get your heart pumping. How else are you supposed to get the views?! There is a cumulative elevation gain of about 550 ft. or so (for those of you who need to know).

🦮 Yes, bring the doggos if it's not too hot!! BUT they must remain leashed, watered and you must pick up and pack out their 💩 Nature and I thank you for your cooperation!

🔴 I am asking for contributions to help offset the exorbitant fees Meetup imposed on Organizers at the beginning of this year. They almost doubled our fees in one fell swoop \ouch\

🟣 There is plenty of street parking, however, you may have to walk a lil' ways to get to the trailhead so I highly suggest you arrive EARLY because...
🟣 We leave ON TIME, there is no grace period, those are for sissies.
🟣 Your Hike Leader is Hot Stuff, often imitated, never duplicated.

DIRECTIONS: Heading west on the 101 freeway in Calabasas, exit Las Virgenes Road and turn right. Drive about 1.5 miles to the end of the road where the trailhead is. Heading towards L.A., exit Las Virgenes and turn left.
