All welcome to join us at our October event to enjoy our lovely new Kawai grand piano in the fabulous setting of Allerton United Reformed church! Players of all abilities and musical tastes are welcome along with audience members/non-players. You can let us know on arrival if you'd like to play. It's a great event to attend if you're thinking of returning to the piano or starting for the first time. It's also a friendly group so a fantastic to way to meet new people! We'll meet at Allerton URC on Mather Avenue, a superb building that was recently refurbished. It's a very popular local hub for community activities including theatre and music. Everybody is welcome to play or listen as they prefer regardless of ability, experience or musical style. We'll get started at 2.30pm, but you're welcome to turn up anytime from 1.45pm to try the piano. There'll be an interval with complementary refreshments provided. Ticket link (£10) - can also pay on door https://letsplaythepiano.sumupstore.com/product/liverpool-sunday-11th-october-2-30pm-lptp-attendance-allerton-urc Note for players: If people could aim for up to 6 mins maximum, ideally for a single piece/movement, it would work best, however let me know if you want to try something longer and could well juggle the timings. Look forward to seeing you and happy playing in the meantime :-) Getting there/parking: There are very regular buses to/from town (No.86A,B&C and others). The outbound stop on Mather Avenue is called 'Booker Avenue' Returning to town the bus stop is right in front of church on Mather Avenue. By train it's two stops from Lime Street to West Allerton, then a 10min walk at a gentle pace. There is medium sized car park at the church. Parking is unrestricted on all surrounding streets, you can park on the verges on Mather Avenue or Booker avenue too.
